This Privacy Policy explains how Jiemo Studio (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use the Piano Enhancer mobile application and this website (together, the “Service”). We built Piano Enhancer to keep your music yours.
The short version
- Your recordings live on your device. We don't browse, sell, or mine them.
- To enhance a take, the audio for that take is sent to our processing service, used only to produce your polished file, and then deleted from the server.
- You can record and keep takes without creating an account.
- We only collect the minimum needed to run, fix, and improve the app.
Information we collect
Recordings and audio you create
Recordings are stored locally on your device by default. When you choose to enhance a take, that audio is transmitted securely to our enhancement service solely to generate the polished version, and is deleted from our servers after processing completes. We do not use your recordings to train models or for advertising.
Account & contact details
If you join our early-access list or contact support, we collect the email address you provide. We use it only to send the update or reply you asked for.
Usage & diagnostics
With your consent where required, we may collect aggregate, de-identified usage and crash data (e.g. which features are used, error reports) to keep the app stable. This never includes the content of your recordings.
Device permissions
The app requests microphone access to record, and notification access to tell you when a polish or export finishes. You can decline or revoke these in your device settings at any time.
How we use information
- To provide core features: recording, enhancement, playback, organisation and sharing.
- To send the early-access email you requested, and to respond to support enquiries.
- To diagnose problems and improve performance and reliability.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us run the Service (e.g. cloud hosting and audio processing) under contracts that limit their use of it, or when required by law. When you export or share a take, you control where it goes.
Data retention
On-device recordings remain until you delete them. Audio sent for enhancement is deleted from our servers after processing. Email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. You can delete all on-device data at any time by removing the app.
Children
Piano Enhancer is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We'll post any changes here and update the date above. Material changes will be highlighted in the app.
